Q & A with Director, Annual Fund, Nate Snyder,

Why did you choose to work at ASU and Sun Devil Athletics? My wife is an alum of ASU, as well as a current employee of the ASU Foundation and has consistently shared how much she loves the institution. Additionally, as a member of the sports industry I have been continuously impressed by the leadership of Ray Anderson and the culture he is building within Sun Devil Athletics. When the opportunity to work for ASU arose, I felt I couldn’t pass up the chance to work for a top tier program.

What are some of your hobbies or what do you do in your free time? First and foremost, is spending time with my family. I really enjoy smoking BBQ and brewing my own beer, mainly as this is something that I can do to share my passion with family and friends. I love to spend as much time outdoors as I can whether it’s coaching/playing lacrosse or rugby, hiking, hunting, fishing, or just sitting around a bonfire with friends.

Who is your family pet? Breed? Name? We have a Golden Retriever named Whiskey.

Who is your hero? My father. He is the hardest working individual I have ever met. He is always so focused on taking care of everyone else and has been a true role model my entire life.

What is your favorite thing about working in SDA? Knowing that in my role I get to play a small part in creating an impact on the lives of the student-athletes.

What is your favorite ASU memory? There are two memories that really jump out as my favorites. The first is the women's lacrosse team being nationally ranked for the first time in program history. This team has worked incredibly hard and it's amazing to see them earn that honor. The second is easily the 70-7 win over the team down south to win the Territorial Cup. That game was one of the most exciting games I have ever watched, especially knowing the rivalry between the programs.
