Home is Where the Devils Are
Sun Devil Beach Volleyball has grown by leaps and bounds since it’s inception in 2014. This growth reached new heights on February 21, 2022, when the program unveiled their brand-new facility, on campus, in between the softball and soccer/lacrosse stadiums.
The launch unveiled a years-long endeavor to find a permanent home for the Sand Devils who played home matches at the PERA Club, who graciously opened their doors for the program’s first eight years.
This project involved a large undertaking from the Sun Devil Club in which our outstanding donors stepped up to the plate once again, including support through the bequest commitments naming Sun Devil Athletics as a beneficiary, providing crucial support to help see this venture over the finish line.
“The philanthropic support we received en route to this facility’s completion was tremendous.” Senior Associate AD Scott Nelson said. “We would have never been able to complete this facility on time were it not for the generosity of Sun Devil Nation and our Sun Devil Club members.”
The facility has four courts and flexible seating options, as fans can bring their own beach chairs and enjoy the action.
The Sand Devils are off to a 10-6 start including a massive win over the 13th-ranked team down south, a match in which the Devils found themselves down 2-0 before battling back to win 3-2.
