Hillary, a former Sun Devil Softball Student-Athlete (2009-2012), has become a strong supporter of Sun Devil Athletics and the Sun Devil Softball program. Her support assists in many areas including student-athlete scholarships and team financial needs. We caught up with Hillary and asked her a few questions about why she supports Sun Devil Softball:
In what ways are you connected to ASU? I am a proud W. P. Carey alumna, Sun Devil Letterwinner, and a member of the 2011 Sun Devil Softball National Championship Team.
What does it mean to you to be a Sun Devil and be a part of the Sun Devil Family? I am proud to be a Sun Devil and represent a community of hard working, goal oriented champions.
Why do you think it is important to support student-athletes and Sun Devil Athletics? My family and I enjoy supporting student-athlete dreams. We love to cheer for Sun Devil athletes on and off the field. As a former competitor, I know how hard student-athletes work to accomplish their goals, but so many of those would not be possible without donor support.
Why do you support Sun Devil Softball? What motivates you to support Sun Devil Softball? We love supporting Sun Devil Softball because I have seen the impact first-hand. I would not be where I am today without the love and support of the donors who came before me. Financial backing is crucial to team success, but I was also impacted by the positive relationships with donors during my time at ASU, which I still cherish.
Describe the most exciting game you have attended. Growing up in Oklahoma, we would drive to the World Series EVERY year. After attending as a fan for more than 10 years, it was so surreal to play on that stage. My favorite Sun Devil Softball memory would have to be winning the Women’s College World Series. Sun Devil Softball made my dreams my reality.
The Sun Devil Club would like to thank Hillary for her continued support of Sun Devil Athletics. For more information on ways to get involved with the Sun Devil Club, please contact us.
