Q & A with Associate Director, Membership Benefits & Events, Bridget Arenson:

Why did you choose to work at ASU? And specifically SDA? I applied for the job in the Sun Angel Foundation (now the Sun Devil Club) because I wanted to return to school to get my Master’s degree. I was in the Sun Devil Marching Band in college and loved everything to do with game day. I didn’t know nearly as much as I thought I did about what it took to run the athletic department especially the time requirements. I have now worked for SAF/SDC for nearly 20 years and I still haven’t had time to get that Master’s degree.

What do you do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, Noah and our three boys, Sam, Jonas and Henry. They are active in school and sports and thankfully don’t mind spending quite a bit of their time at ASU games with me. The boys each attended their first games at less than 3 months old and have come to think of our facilities as their playgrounds.

Your favorite quote? “When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.”- Walt Disney

What is your favorite Sun Devil moment? I grew up in Tempe as the daughter of an ASU Professor (though my dad only let me go to one football game a year). I went to ASU and was in the Sun Devil Marching Band for all four years. I’ve now worked for the department for nearly 20 years. There are so many moments that it would be impossible to pick just one, but instead my favorite Sun Devil memory is just a lifetime of being a Sun Devil. I wore a “Future Sun Devil” t-shirt as an infant and so did my kids. My sons know the ASU Fight Song and Alma Mater better than many much older fans. We truly bleed Maroon and Gold through thick and thin and are proud of it.
